Bible Verses About Relationships...

In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. -Ephesians 5:28

Husbands, in your turn, be sensible in your life together. Be considerate, realizing that the woman is of a more frail disposition and that you both share in the gift of life. If you do this, God will readily answer your prayers. -1 Peter 3:7

Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as you should do in the LORD. Husbands, love your wives and do not get angry with them. -Colossians 3:18-19

Jesus replied, “Have you not read that in the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and He said: Man has now to leave father and mother, and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one body? So they are no longer two but one body; let no one separate what God has joined.” -Matthew 19:4-6

Scripture says: Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother to be united with his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. -Ephesians 5:31

Relationships Q&A

Love in Relationships
In terms of our relationships, how often have we sought love where we know it won’t be found? Everyone longs for love, and nearly every girl grows up imagining the ideal mate – at true gentleman who stands out among today’s modern men like a knight among boys. When he doesn’t show up, her dream begins to fade. Although the thirst for authentic love is ingrained in her heart, she may begin to settle for less, imposing her hopes on guys who fall short of them.

Dating: What’s the Point?
Although there are a million wrong reasons to date, there’s only one right reason: to find a spouse. Such a narrow purpose may seem rigid or old-fashioned, and perhaps it is….It may be old –fashioned to date for the sake of finding a spouse, but a surprising number of people have found it to be a fresh alternative to the stale and mindless dating circuses. Those who have spent years dating for superficial reasons often complain about how much of their lives were spent going nowhere. After all, if you’re not dating with your eyes on forever, you’re just dating to break up. In other words, it’s divorce practice.

Accepting the Invitation
Do you believe that God has an invitation waiting for you? If not, why? Perhaps the suffering you have experienced in life has caused you to doubt God’s existence. You may have thought, “If God is so good and loving, why have so many bad things happened to me? If He is so powerful, why didn’t He stop those things from taking place?” Unexplained suffering has led many people to dismiss the idea of a personal, loving God…for a person to claim that she is not into the “God thing” could be compared to the acorn that claims it’s not really into the “soil thing”… There is a foundation that is in place. If we have been made by God and for God, then our lives will not make sense apart from Him. If we lose sight of our origin, we’ll miss our destiny. We’re made for more than this world can offer.
