Healing Q&A
Stones that are in the Way
Just as Jesus instructed other to remove the stone from Lazarus’s tomb, so he could come to new life, He also reminds us to remove the stones that keep us in tombs and prevent us from having new life. These stones may be fear, despair, doubt, or some other vice. Yet when we obey the Lord, we have life to the fullest.
Faith
Despite illness, patients remain precious in the eyes of Almighty God. As such, we must all have a deep respect for the sanctity of life, and there must be no consideration for euthanasia. No matter how old or how weak one with cancer may be, the Lord uses such individuals to further His kingdom on earth. By emptying oneself and putting everything into God’s hands, it becomes clear that our Lord is accomplishing His great work, since it is impossible for us in our weaknesses to do so. Many cancer patients and their families have found that such difficult circumstances have allowed them to grow considerably in their faith, hope, and love.
Motivation
Beth overcame multiple recurrences of a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and long with various medications, developed severe pain. The compassion of her husband and many of the healthcare providers deeply moved Beth. Over time her treatment responded well and years later was disease free. As she overcame the disease she was motivated to reach out to others. With her strength restored, she became a full – time caregiver for her elderly mother and a sister who was chronically ill. Beth’ renewed life was a marvelous testimony of how God can transform the lives of those with severe illnesses, helping them bring His great mercy to the world.
