Confident that God inspired difficult passages for a reason, Dr. Hahn looks for possible meanings and interrelationships among passages. By carefully examining the covenants, prophecies and promises in the Old Testament, he shows how they all work together and point to the coming of Christ. Dr. Hahn also looks at the typology of the Old Testament, the various types that were paralleled in the New Testament - Adam and Christ, Eve and the Blessed Virgin, the Ark of the Covenant and the Church. Dr. Hahn demonstrates how the early Christians understood the coming of Christ and suggests Christians of today should have a sense of ownership of the Old Testament. He argues that Christians cannot really understand what is at stake in the New Testament without first coming to grips with the Old Testament.
